Welcome to Rezume. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) constitute a legally binding agreement between you (“User,” “you,” or “your”) and Rezume (“we,” “us,” or “our”) governing your access to and use of the Rezume platform available at rezume.page (the “Service”).

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use the Service.

To use our Service, you must:

• Be at least 13 years of age
• Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract
• Not be barred from using the Service under applicable laws
• Provide accurate and complete information during registration

To access certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• All activities that occur under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access or security breach
• Providing accurate and up-to-date information

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts with false, inaccurate, or incomplete information.

Rezume is an AI-powered resume building platform that provides:

• Tools to create professional resumes with customizable sections
• Drag-and-drop section management
• AI features for resume parsing and content enhancement
• PDF export functionality
• Public profile URLs with custom usernames
• Theme and customization options

The Service is currently provided free of charge during our beta phase. We may introduce paid features or subscription plans in the future with advance notice.

Your Content

“User Content” means any information, data, text, documents, images, or other materials you submit or create through the Service.

Ownership

You retain all ownership rights to your User Content. We do not claim ownership of your resume data or any materials you create using the Service.

License to Rezume

By submitting User Content, you grant Rezume a license to store, process, and display your content as necessary to provide the Service. This includes:

• Storing and transmitting your data
• Displaying your content on your public profile (if you claim a username)
• Generating PDF versions of your resume
• Processing your content through AI services when you use AI features

This license terminates when you delete your User Content or account.

Content Responsibilities

You are solely responsible for your User Content. You represent that:

• You own or have the necessary rights to submit the content
• Your content does not violate any third-party rights
• Your content is accurate and not misleading
• Your content complies with these Terms and applicable laws

You agree NOT to use the Service to:

• Violate any applicable laws or third-party rights
• Upload illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, or otherwise objectionable content
• Impersonate any person or entity
• Upload viruses, malware, or other malicious code
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or other accounts
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service
• Use automated means to access the Service without permission
• Reverse engineer or decompile any part of the Service
• Remove or alter any proprietary notices

You may claim a custom username to make your resume publicly accessible at rezume.page/[username]:

• Usernames must be unique and available
• Usernames are first-come, first-served
• When you claim a username, your resume becomes publicly accessible to anyone with the URL

When you use AI features (resume parsing or content enhancement). By using these features, you acknowledge that:

• Your content will be sent to third-party AI services for processing
• AI-generated content may not be accurate or suitable for your purposes
• You are responsible for reviewing all AI-generated content before use

AI features are provided “as is” without guarantees of accuracy or completeness.

The Service, including its design, features, and functionality (excluding User Content), is owned by Rezume and is protected by intellectual property laws. “Rezume” and our logo are trademarks of Rezume.

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.

Termination by You

You may delete your account at any time through the Settings page. Upon deletion, your profile and resume data will be permanently removed.

Termination by Us

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account for:

• Violation of these Terms
• Fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity
• Technical or security issues
• Discontinuation of the Service

We do not warrant that:

• The Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
• The content or AI-generated output will be accurate or reliable
• Defects will be corrected

No Professional Advice: The Service does not provide professional career advice or any other professional services. Do not rely on the Service as a substitute for professional advice.

No Guarantees: We make no guarantees that using our Service will result in job interviews, employment, or career advancement.

We are not liable for:

• Lost profits, data, or opportunities
• Service interruptions or unavailability
• Errors in content or AI-generated output
• Unauthorized access to your data
• Deletion or failure to store User Content
• Any damages arising from resume content or employment decisions

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitation of liability, so some of these limitations may not apply to you.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Rezume from any claims, liabilities, damages, or expenses arising from:

• Your use of the Service
• Your User Content
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any rights of third parties

If you have a dispute with us, please contact us at hi@rezume.page to attempt to resolve the dispute informally first.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law provisions.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

The Service is currently in beta. This means:

• Features may be incomplete or subject to change
• We may experience downtime or issues
• We may add, modify, or remove features

We recommend keeping backup copies of your important data.

• Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Rezume
• Severability: If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect
• Waiver: Our failure to enforce any right is not a waiver of that right
• Assignment: You may not assign your rights without our consent
