Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Rezume. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) constitute a legally binding agreement between you (“User,” “you,” or “your”) and Rezume (“we,” “us,” or “our”) governing your access to and use of the Rezume platform available at rezume.page (the “Service”).

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use the Service.

To use our Service, you must:

• Be at least 13 years of age
• Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract
• Not be barred from using the Service under applicable laws
• Provide accurate and complete information during registration

To access certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• All activities that occur under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access or security breach
• Providing accurate and up-to-date information

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts with false, inaccurate, or incomplete information.

Rezume is an AI-powered resume building and job research platform that provides:

• Resume Builder: Tools to create professional resumes with customizable sections, drag-and-drop management, theme options, and ATS-optimized PDF export
• AI Resume Parsing: Upload existing resumes (PDF or DOCX) to automatically populate your profile
• Public Profiles: Custom URLs (rezume.page/[username]) to share your resume online, with configurable privacy settings
• Job Research: Submit job posting URLs to receive ATS compatibility scoring, resume tailoring suggestions, cover letter and cold email generation, company intelligence, and interview preparation materials
• Profile Analytics: Privacy-safe analytics showing how people discover and interact with your public profile, including visitor counts, geographic distribution, referral sources, and engagement metrics
• Application Tracking: Track the status of your job applications (Draft, Applied, Interview, Rejected, Offer) alongside the corresponding research and company data
• NFC Cards: Physical NFC cards that link to your public profile, allowing contactless sharing of your resume

Free Plan

The Service offers a free plan that includes core resume building, PDF export, public profiles, and limited AI research queries per month.

Pro Plan

The Pro plan provides extended AI research limits, cover letter and cold email generation, company intelligence, full analytics, and other premium features. Pro subscriptions are billed monthly or yearly through our payment provider, Dodo Payments.

Billing Terms

• Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled
• You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
• Refunds are handled in accordance with our payment provider’s policies and applicable law
• We reserve the right to change pricing with reasonable advance notice. Existing subscriptions will be honoured at the current rate until the end of the billing period
• Usage limits reset at the beginning of each billing cycle

Your Content

“User Content” means any information, data, text, documents, images, or other materials you submit or create through the Service, including resume data, research queries, and job posting URLs.

Ownership

You retain all ownership rights to your User Content. We do not claim ownership of your resume data or any materials you create using the Service.

License to Rezume

By submitting User Content, you grant Rezume a license to store, process, and display your content as necessary to provide the Service. This includes:

• Storing and transmitting your data
• Displaying your content on your public profile (if you claim a username)
• Generating PDF versions of your resume, including tailored versions
• Processing your content through AI services for research, ATS analysis, resume tailoring, cover letter generation, cold email generation, and company research
• Sending job posting URLs to third-party scraping services to extract job descriptions
• Collecting and displaying aggregated analytics about your profile views

This license terminates when you delete your User Content or account.

Content Responsibilities

You are solely responsible for your User Content. You represent that:

• You own or have the necessary rights to submit the content
• Your content does not violate any third-party rights
• Your content is accurate and not misleading
• Your content complies with these Terms and applicable laws

You agree NOT to use the Service to:

• Violate any applicable laws or third-party rights
• Upload illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, or otherwise objectionable content
• Impersonate any person or entity
• Upload viruses, malware, or other malicious code
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or other accounts
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service
• Use automated means to access the Service without permission, including mass-submitting job URLs for scraping
• Reverse engineer or decompile any part of the Service
• Circumvent usage limits or billing controls
• Remove or alter any proprietary notices

You may claim a custom username to make your resume publicly accessible at rezume.page/[username]:

• Usernames must be unique and available
• Usernames are first-come, first-served
• When you claim a username, your resume becomes publicly accessible unless you configure privacy restrictions
• We reserve the right to reclaim usernames that are inactive, misleading, or that infringe on trademarks

The Service includes AI-powered features for resume parsing, job research, ATS analysis, resume tailoring, cover letter generation, cold email generation, and company research. By using these features, you acknowledge that:

• Your content (resume data, job descriptions) will be sent to third-party AI services for processing
• Job posting URLs will be sent to third-party web scraping services to extract content
• AI-generated content (ATS scores, tailored resumes, cover letters, cold emails, company profiles) may not be accurate, complete, or suitable for your purposes
• You are responsible for reviewing and editing all AI-generated content before use
• ATS scores are estimates and do not guarantee how any specific applicant tracking system will evaluate your resume
• Company research is based on publicly available information and may contain inaccuracies
• AI features are subject to usage limits based on your plan

AI features are provided “as is” without guarantees of accuracy or completeness.

If you purchase or receive an NFC card through the Service:

• The card links to your public profile URL and can be tapped by anyone with an NFC-enabled device
• You are responsible for the physical security of your card
• We may deactivate cards associated with accounts that violate these Terms
• NFC card functionality depends on the recipient’s device capabilities

The Service provides analytics about visitors to your public profile. By using analytics features, you acknowledge that:

• Analytics data is collected in a privacy-safe manner and does not identify individual visitors
• Visitor counts, geographic data, and referral information are approximations
• Analytics data is provided for informational purposes and should not be the sole basis for important decisions
• Some analytics features are available only on the Pro plan

The Service, including its design, features, and functionality (excluding User Content), is owned by Rezume and is protected by intellectual property laws. “Rezume” and our logo are trademarks of Rezume.

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.

Termination by You

You may delete your account at any time through the Settings page. Upon deletion, your profile, resume data, research history, analytics, and associated information will be permanently removed. Active subscriptions will be cancelled and no further charges will be made.

Termination by Us

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account for:

• Violation of these Terms
• Fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity
• Circumvention of usage limits or billing controls
• Technical or security issues
• Discontinuation of the Service

We do not warrant that:

• The Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
• The content or AI-generated output will be accurate or reliable
• ATS scores will reflect how actual applicant tracking systems evaluate your resume
• Job research, company profiles, or interview preparation materials will be complete or current
• Defects will be corrected

No Professional Advice: The Service does not provide professional career advice or any other professional services. Do not rely on the Service as a substitute for professional advice.

No Guarantees: We make no guarantees that using our Service will result in job interviews, employment, or career advancement.

We are not liable for:

• Lost profits, data, or opportunities
• Service interruptions or unavailability
• Errors in content or AI-generated output
• Inaccurate ATS scores, company research, or tailoring suggestions
• Unauthorized access to your data
• Deletion or failure to store User Content
• Any damages arising from resume content or employment decisions
• Issues with NFC card functionality or physical damage
• Third-party payment processing errors

Our total liability for any claim arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitation of liability, so some of these limitations may not apply to you.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Rezume from any claims, liabilities, damages, or expenses arising from:

• Your use of the Service
• Your User Content
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any rights of third parties

If you have a dispute with us, please contact us at hi@rezume.page to attempt to resolve the dispute informally first.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law provisions.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

• Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Rezume
• Severability: If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect
• Waiver: Our failure to enforce any right is not a waiver of that right
• Assignment: You may not assign your rights without our consent
